Intel Finds Yet Another Way to Win in the AI Market
From Nasdaq:
Intel, the semiconductor giant, has focused on AI, with its AI-powered chips like Meteor Lake CPUs and Sapphire Rapids and Emerald Rapids server CPUs. Additionally, Intel competes with Nvidia with its Gaudi line of AI accelerators. The company has rolled out new process nodes for its foundry business and launched a new independent AI company, Articul8.
Articul8, jointly established by Intel and DigitalBridge, provides a generative AI platform for enterprise customers. The platform supports hardware from competitors, similar to IBM’s watsonx. Another significant development is Intel’s equity stake in Articul8, which aligns with its strategy of focusing on core businesses, like AI-enabled chips and semiconductor manufacturing. Although Intel aims to have significant AI-driven growth, the Articul8 spin-off could offer additional long-term benefits.
