Marks & Spencer Q3 Total Sales Up 7.2% In Constant Currency

Marks & Spencer Group Plc reported a 7.2% increase in third quarter Group sales, reaching 3.86 billion pounds. UK sales saw an 8.5% increase, with food sales up 10.5% and clothing & home sales up 4.8%. International sales, however, were down by 6.4%. CEO Stuart Machin stated the Christmas trading performance gives confidence in meeting market expectations for the year. The Group faces additional cost increases from higher than anticipated wage and business rates related cost inflation.
