Music publication Pitchfork is being merged with GQ magazine by Conde Nast

Pitchfork magazine, known for its music criticism and annual festivals, is being incorporated into the monthly GQ publication by Condé Nast. After being acquired by Condé Nast in 2015, there were reportedly 22 full-time employees at Pitchfork. Staff members were informed of the restructuring and job cuts during a meeting. Editor-in-chief Puja Patel has reportedly left the publication. GQ, originally a men’s fashion magazine founded in 1931, will now include Pitchfork content. This move comes as part of a planned restructuring within Condé Nast.
