Netflix WWE deal doesn’t mean more sports investment

Netflix’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos clarified that WWE’s Raw deal doesn’t signal a change in their sports strategy. Netflix has discussed potential NBA streaming packages but will likely not be a major player due to the league’s media partner limit. The $5 billion WWE deal has an out clause after 5 years and an option for an additional 10. Despite Sarandos’s comments, Netflix’s move into traditional sports could still be a possibility.
