Mary Weiss, lead singer of 1960s pop group Shangri-Las, has died at 75 in Palm Springs, California. The band included two pairs of sisters and found success with dramatic songs. Their first hit “Remember (Walking in the Sand)” reached the Billboard top 5. Weiss would make a solo comeback with 2007 album “Dangerous Game.”
