Pennon Group Plc has acquired Sumisho Osaka Gas Water UK Limited for 89 million pounds from Sumitomo Corporation and Osaka Gas. An equity capital raise of 180 million pounds will be used for the acquisition. The company has also announced a conditional retail offer for new ordinary shares, open to new and existing investors in the UK, including WaterShare+ customers and company employees.
