Pentagon goes to Ukraine ally meeting with no money in hand after Congress fails to act

From Fortune:

1. The United States will be hosting a meeting between about 50 countries to support Ukraine in their fight against Russia’s invasion. They have run out of funds to send the ammunition and missiles that Ukraine needs. NATO has announced a $1.2 billion joint contract to buy more ammunition to fill the gaps.
2. Russia launched a barrage of over 40 missiles into Ukraine, causing damage and death. 42 missiles were intercepted by Ukraine’s air defenses, and 20 people in Kyiv were injured. Special systems and munitions for air defense remain a top priority for Ukraine in their fight against Russia’s aggression.
3. The United States has provided over $44.2 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since Russia invaded in February 2022. Additionally, the U.S., along with approximately 30 international partners, continue to train Ukrainian forces. 118,000 Ukrainians have been trained so far, with 18,000 fighters trained by the U.S. alone.
