The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index rose 0.64 percent to close at 1,562.37, with a mixed performance from various sectors. The Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 all finished lower, with investors worried about interest rate cuts and U.S. manufacturing activity. Meanwhile, the price of crude oil rebounded on concerns about attacks by Houthi militants against ships in the Red Sea, with West Texas Intermediate crude surging 3.3 percent to $72.70 a barrel.
