Rudy Giuliani bankruptcy: lawyer says he’s too broke to pay $148 million 2020 election conspiracy judgment

Former New York City mayor, Rudy Giuliani, has declared bankruptcy, claiming he lacks funds to pay the $148 million he owes two Georgia election workers. Giuliani’s attorney expects additional disgruntled creditors, including multiple lawsuits over unrelated issues, businesses and individuals such as supermarket employee Daniel Gill, and even the IRS and Hunter Biden.

Giuliani has declared bankruptcy in response to a court-ordered payment of $148 million. He will now appeal this ruling under certain conditions. Creditors are concerned that Giuliani may be abusing the bankruptcy protection process, but a representative for one creditor stated otherwise.

The next hearing is scheduled for January 31 to accommodate the diverse coalition of creditors._interest in further proceedings.
