PunaMusta Media Oyj, a Finnish media and printing business, is hoping to address the declining demand for its print products, including magazines, newspapers, and advertising materials. Their primary goal is to enhance profitability and competitiveness in response to changing market conditions, as well as reorganize and streamline their operations. The potential closure of the Seinäjoki production site could lead to significant cost savings of up to 0.8 million euros annually. However, it may also result in up to 20 job cuts, with new roles expected to be created for about five employees. Additionally, all staff members involved in this process may experience changes in their job roles and responsibilities. The company is committed to science-based climate targets (SBT) and had a turnover of 133.5 million euros in 2022.
