In early trading on Thursday, Fastenal’s shares were up 5.9%, making it the best performing S&P 500 component of the day with a year-to-date gain of 3.6%. On the other hand, Humana was the worst performing component, trading down 12.0% for the day and 13.9% year to date. Discover Financial Services also saw a 7.9% decrease, while W.W. Grainger was up 4.4% for the day.
