SpaceX illegally fired workers critical of Elon Musk, US labor agency says

From Nasdaq:

SpaceX is accused of unlawfully firing employees for calling CEO Elon Musk “a distraction and embarrassment”. NLRB issued a complaint, citing violations of federal labor law. Musk’s sexually suggestive tweets prompted employees to write a letter to SpaceX executives, calling for a condemnation. SpaceX has a “toxic culture” where harassment against women is tolerated, according to a former employee.

The case will be heard by an administrative judge if SpaceX does not settle, with potential reinstatement and back pay for workers. In November, at least 600 previously unreported workplace injuries were documented at SpaceX facilities. Similarly, a complaint was issued against X, Musk-owned social media service. Musk’s other company, Tesla Inc, has also faced NLRB complaints amid a union campaign and race discrimination lawsuits.
