Mark Swinnerton, CEO of Green Gravity, is repurposing abandoned mines as renewable energy storage. Prototyping in Australia, his system uses solar and wind energy to lift steel blocks, storing potential energy for turbine use. With interest from various countries and a digital twin for design, commercial operations are expected in a couple of years.
