Tech stocks rallied in the afternoon, with XLK and XSD rising 1.9% and 2.9% respectively. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index surged 3.3%. In corporate news, CCTG shares doubled in their Nasdaq debut.

TSM shares soared nearly 10% after reporting Q4 earnings and revenue above estimates. AAPL rose 3.3% as BofA Securities upgraded the company and raised its price target. Intel got support in the fight against a 1.06 billion euro fine, with shares adding 1.5%.
