Teck Resources Limited provided 2023 production volumes for Quebrada Blanca operations, QB2 project update, and 4th quarter steelmaking coal sales volumes and prices. QB had 56,200 tonnes of copper production in 2023, below guidance due to issues in the 4th quarter. The molybdenum plant construction is largely complete, with expected completion in Q2 2024. Steelmaking coal sales were 6.1 million tonnes, and averaged US$270 per tonne. Full 2023 production results and 2024 guidance are expected on January 16, 2024. Teck’s shares are listed on the TSX under TECK.A and TECK.B, and the NYSE as TECK.
