Tiger Woods and Nike are parting ways after 27 years. Woods signed with Nike in 1996 and had several deals with the company, with a reported total value between $500 to $660 million. Nike confirmed the departure on Instagram, thanking Woods for challenging the institution of golf. Despite this, Nike won’t be making golf equipment as they stopped in 2016, selling only golf clothing. Woods’ net worth is above $1 billion, joining other athletes like Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Nike Inc. shares moved 0.15% during Monday’s trading and have been down 18.11% over the last 12 months.
