1. Trump wins Iowa Republican Caucuses, no clear second place winner. Next up, New Hampshire’s primary to be held on Jan. 23.
2. Trump has leading support above 50% in Iowa polls, while Haley and DeSantis are in the teens. Christie left the 2024 presidential race last week.
3. Super Tuesday primaries on March 5th ft. over a dozen states are scheduled to vote. Trump’s economic proposals include a 10% tariff on all imports, repealing Obamacare and addressing student debt through a free online college called the American Academy.
4. Haley aims to raise Social Security’s retirement age and eliminate the federal tax on gasoline. DeSantis focuses on energy policy to address inflation and promises to reduce spending. U.S. stock futures were lower.
