US STOCKS-Wall St drops as treasury yields drag megacaps; inflation data eyed

U.S. stocks fall as Treasury yields rise and investors trim expectations for early rate cuts. Microsoft, Apple, Tesla and Amazon decline 0.8%-2% as yields on short- and long-term Treasury notes rise above 4%. Nvidia drops 0.7% after reaching a record high. Real estate is down around 1%. Lawmakers will look at inflation data for Fed policy clues.
Quarterly earnings from JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citigroup on Friday will be relevant to the stock market and broader economy. Stock rotation continues Wednesday. The Dow Jones down 0.62% to 37,450.79, S&P 0.54% to 4,737.87, and Nasdaq 0.65% to 14,746.97. Decliners outnumber advancers 5.26-to-1 ratio on NYSE and 3.16-to-1 ratio on Nasdaq.
