Renters have been facing steep increases in monthly rent in the past two years, with the peak reaching 8.8% higher than the previous year in March 2023. However, the outlook for renters is now improving due to several factors, despite an increase in prices in December. Families could finally see relief from the high cost of rent, as the surge in rent inflation is expected to ease. This change in the rental market comes after record demand and limited supply caused prices to soar, according to the Labor Department.
