Williams-Sonoma is primed to bounce back after pandemic-era ‘consumer hesitancy’
From Dow Jones & Company:
Williams-Sonoma Inc. has seen a significant boost in the demand for home furnishings due to the pandemic’s effect on the housing market. Despite a warning in November about consumer hesitancy to spend on larger furniture items, Wedbush analysts upgraded the stock, resulting in a 2% increase in shares. The analysts expect home-furnishing retail sales to rise at least in the low-single digits this year. Efforts to tighten its shipping operations and product assortment, along with a shift toward online sales, have helped Williams-Sonoma maintain its position in the market. Analysts predict an increase in operating margins and sales growth for 2024.
