The AlUla Arts Festival is returning for its 3rd edition from February 9 to March 2, 2024. The festival showcases a wide array of events, exhibitions, and creative initiatives spanning 22 days in the stunning natural landscape of the ancient oasis. Part of AlUla’s annual event calendar, the festival features a diverse mix of local, regional, and international artists, performers, curators, and collectors. The winner of the Enrichment Award for the Arts, artist Obaid Al Safi, presents his winning work “Palm Trees in Eternal Embrace”. Renowned contemporary artist Manal Al Dowayan unveils her new earth art commission “Oasis of Stories”, to be permanently located in AlUla’s vast desert landscape beginning in 2026. The AlUla Arts Residency hosts two exhibitions: “What Remains for Us” visual arts residency and “Hidden Mercy” design residency, highlighting AlUla’s growing role as a hub for cultural exchange and artistic innovation in the region. 1445, the photo exhibition by artist Hassan Hajjaj known for his blending of contemporary art, fashion, and cultural identity, presents a series of photographs. “Gaze” exhibition is a magnet to art enthusiasts by Saudi artists in Riyadh, showcasing contemporary artistic expressions. X Desert AlUla 2024, the international open art exhibition, returns to place contemporary art works by Saudi and international artists amidst the exceptional desert environment of AlUla. The AlUla Design Space opens in February 2024, creating a hub for diverse design initiatives that align with the vision of AlUla.
