Amazon’s AWS Vs. Microsoft’s Azure Vs. Google Cloud: Which Company Won The Cloud Race In Q4?

Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet all reported fourth-quarter results, with a focus on their high-margin cloud businesses. Amazon’s AWS saw revenue of $24.20 billion and a 13% year-over-year growth. Microsoft’s Azure public cloud made $25.9 billion in revenue, including 30% growth in Azure. Alphabet’s GCP saw $9.19 billion in revenue, up 25.66% from the year-ago period.
Operating profit from AWS was $7.17 billion, accounting for over 50% of Amazon’s operating income. Microsoft Cloud revenue grew 24% to $33.7 billion, with a gross margin of 72%. Alphabet’s Cloud business generated operating income of $864 million. Microsoft is predicted to have strong long-term growth due to its lead in AI.
Consequently, Amazon ended Friday’s session up 7.87% at $171.81, Microsoft rose 1.84% to $411.22 and Alphabet gained 0.86% to $142.38, according to Benzinga Pro data.
