Ben Armstrong Announces End To Daily Crypto Shows, Admits To ‘Burning $25,000 A Week’
From Nasdaq, Inc.:
Cryptocurrency YouTuber Ben Armstrong, known as Bitboy, is ending his daily livestream due to financial issues. He revealed that the show was costing him $25,000 a week, with legal fees amounting to $100,000 a month. Armstrong tweeted, “My daily crypto livestream has been my life.” Despite his popularity, his tenure as Bitboy ended abruptly following personal accusations and legal battles.
Armstrong’s rise to popularity in 2018 led to his cryptocurrency $BEN coin launch in mid-2023. However, the launch was followed by personal accusations that led to legal battles. He planned to confront an individual named Carlos Diaz in September 2023 to “get his Lamborghini back,” which escalated into a public spectacle drawing police intervention. He took to Twitter to appeal for help in funding his legal campaign to regain control of BitBoy Crypto.
Bitcoin (BTC) trading at $41,961, down 2.26% in the last 24 hours, according to Benzinga Pro. The decision comes as the show’s production costs became unsustainable for Armstrong. The content creator had appeared troubled, citing mounting financial and legal issues. Armstrong appealed to his followers for support in funding his legal campaign to regain control of BitBoy Crypto.
