Elon Musk criticized President Joe Biden’s immigration strategy on his social media platform. He accused Biden of trying to create a single-party system by allowing a large influx of undocumented immigrants into the country and then legalizing them. Musk also compared Biden’s proposed immigration legislation to the “Committee of Public Safety” during the French Revolution. Additionally, he mentioned the reduced rate of deportations and linked it to a potential tactic to garner more votes.

Despite Musk’s claims, the number of deportations almost doubled in 2023 under Biden’s leadership, as reported by the Washington Post. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported over 142,000 immigrants in fiscal year 2023. These statistics contradict Musk’s assertions and suggest that deportations have increased under Biden’s administration.
