Expedia appoints Ariane Gorin as new CEO, succeeding Peter Kern. The company’s shares fell by 12% in extended trading. Gorin will receive an annual base salary of $1.25 million and a one-time relocation payment of $100,000. She will officially take over on May 13 and was previously an executive at Microsoft from 2003 to 2013.
