Ford, UAW reach local labor deal to avert strike at Kentucky plant

From CNBC:

Ford and UAW Local 62 have reached a tentative deal to prevent a strike at the Kentucky truck plant, averting a potential work stoppage by nearly 9,000 employees. The agreement addresses local issues related to skilled trades, ergonomics, and health and safety, and Ford has expressed its satisfaction with the resolution. Louisville plant is Ford’s largest in terms of employment and revenue, producing Super Duty pickups, Expeditions, and Navigator SUVs. Dozens of local contracts across big Three automakers are still in negotiations, including Ford, GM, and Stellantis, dealing with plant-specific issues separate from national agreements ratified in late 2023.
