Lamborghini aims to cut down carbon emissions by 40% per car by 2030. The luxury sports car maker revealed its “Direzione Cor Tauri” plan to electrify and go carbon-neutral by 2050. The company’s recent model-year vehicles produce 700,000 tons of CO2 in their life cycle. This sustainability goal aligns with the automotive industry’s shift towards electrification and environmental responsibility.
Moreover, Lamborghini has teased the exciting unveiling of its first electric vehicle concept model, with plans to electrify the entire range by 2024 and launch an all-electric model. This announcement follows competitive moves in the luxury car market – Chinese EV maker BYD unveiled high-priced luxury EVs, signalling a potential challenge to established luxury car brands like Lamborghini.
