Microsoft’s market cap is on track to surpass Apple’s record

Microsoft’s market cap is set to reach $3.1 trillion, overtaking Apple’s previous record of $3.09 trillion. This comes as Microsoft’s stock rallied 1.3% to reach a market cap of $3.12 trillion on Friday. If the stock closes up at least 0.4% or any price above $415.84, it will break Apple’s record. Microsoft is on track to become the first U.S. company with a market cap above $3.1 trillion, while Apple’s stock only edged up 0.5% on Friday for a market cap of $2.92 trillion.
