Nine Mile Metals Drills Three Mineralized Zones, With XRF

From GlobeNewswire:

Nine Mile Metals Ltd. is excited to share the results of its drilling project in the Bathurst Mining Camp in New Brunswick. The findings of hole WD-24-01 are significant; the drilled hole intersected three mineralized zones, including a 6.18 meter section of pyritic VMS with copper, and lesser Pb and Zn mineralization. The company has completed its XRF analysis and has submitted the samples for certified analysis. The company expressed pride in the success of the drilling project and plans to test new areas over the strong conductive access trend with additional drill holes.

The drill hole was initiated at the footwall sediments on the south flank of the historic mine site and was successful, reaching a depth of 164 meters to intersect EarthEX late-time conductor. The VMS mineralization is fine-grained and composed of 95% sulphides, making mineralogy identification difficult. A third mineralization zone was also intersected, and the hole terminated in hanging wall volcanics at 164.5 meters. Samples from all three zones have been logged, cut, and submitted to ALS Global Labs for certified analysis.

The XRF analysis for the first upper VMS portion was performed by the company, and the result is presented in Table 1; values of copper, lead, zinc, as well as arsenic, silver, and gold were determined. CEO Patrick Cruickshank expressed satisfaction with the findings, showcasing 2.81% Copper over 6.18 meters in Zone #1. He attributed the hole’s constrained location to the heavy snowfall, which prevented the drill rig from accessing the top Target 1 area. Subsequently, the company has successfully reached its priority Target 1 area with its second hole.

The success of the drill hole was attributed to EarthEX Geophysical Solutions reprocessing and algorithm. Its testing of a new area along the high priority late-time conductive response access, southeast of the historical deposit, has been valuable. The company aims to test its new targets and deeper targets as well as look forward to summarizing the certified assays. The drill hole findings and drilling project will confirm the original deposit’s footprint. Nine Mile Metals Ltd. will continue to explore potential areas for further drilling as it transitions to a focus on Critical Minerals Exploration for unique mineral composition demands.

The completion of the drilling project at the Bathurst Mining Camp is a significant milestone for Nine Mile Metals Ltd. The company’s success in intersecting multiple mineralized zones and achieving high-grade copper has set the stage for comprehensive VMS exploration. The findings from drill hole WD-24-01 have garnered positive feedback from the CEO and director, who believes the success is encouraging, especially given the location constraints due to heavy snowfall. The engagement of EarthEX Geophysical Solutions and the dedication of the drilling team were critical to the project’s success.

Nine Mile Metals Ltd. is a Canadian public mineral exploration company that has concluded its inaugural Phase 1 drill program on the Wedge VMS Project in the Bathurst Mining Camp. The company shared that it was constrained to the location of the first hole due to heavy snowfall, which prevented the drill rig from accessing the top Target 1 area. Subsequently, the company has successfully reached its priority Target 1 area with its second hole, where they tested their new and deeper targets. This promising achievement is a testament to the company’s expert team’s knowledge and dedication and sets the stage for future VMS exploration.
