Organic sales growth of +4.5% driven
From GlobeNewswire:
Tarkett announced their annual results for 2023, with organic sales growth of +4.5% largely attributed to the record turnover in the Sports segment. The adjusted EBITDA value and margin also increased, with a significant improvement in free cash flow generation and a reduction in debt leverage. Revenue for 2023 remained stable at +0.1%, with a slight decline in Q4 compared to 2022. However, the adjusted EBITDA saw a significant increase, as did the net profit and free cash flow for the year. Tarkett also maintained its A- rating with CDP, confirming its leadership in climate action among flooring and sports surfaces manufacturers. The Group uses alternative performance indicators (not defined under IFRS), described in detail in the annual report. In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Group’s net revenue amounted to €770.5 million, with a slight decrease compared to 2022. However, the organic growth stood at +4.1% driven by strong activity in the Sports segment, and the Group’s adjusted EBITDA rose sharply to €50.7 million. However, the negative exchange effect and a decline in activity in EMEA affected the overall revenue for the quarter. The net revenue for the Group in 2023 was €3,363 million, with an organic growth of 4.5% and a strong growth seen in the Sports segment. The adjusted EBITDA amounted to €287.8 million, reflecting an increase compared to 2022, and the adjusted EBITDA margin also increased over the year. The EMEA segment achieved a turnover of €850 million in 2023, with a negative exchange effect and organic growth. The North American segment generated a turnover of €889 million, with a negative exchange effect and organic growth.
