Sensex, Nifty Marginally Higher In Early Trade

Indian shares were mostly flat on Monday as the dollar and bond yields rose due to robust U.S. labor market data. The Sensex was up 90 points, with encouraging earning results providing support, while the Nifty index rose 39 points. Tata Motors saw a 137 percent growth in Q4 net profit, while InterGlobe Aviation and JSW Infrastructure also reported strong earnings. Tata Steel proposed a financial support package for UK workers, and Zee Entertainment rallied after an Emergency Arbitrator decision. Paytm plunged 10 percent amid money laundering investigation rumors and SBI’s Q3 profit missed estimates. Bharti Airtel awaited its Q3 earnings release.
