Some Tesla Inc. board members allegedly felt pressured to take drugs with CEO Elon Musk. A Wall Street Journal report detailed deep personal and financial ties that bind Tesla directors to the company and to Musk, including excessive stock options and joint investments in each others’ companies. There is direct knowledge of Musk’s drug use among board members, but no action has been taken. Allegations of drug use have raised concerns about erratic behavior, possible law violations, and U.S. government contract violations. Musk has denied these allegations, and NASA reported no evidence of drug use at SpaceX. Tesla and SpaceX had no response to requests for comment.
