Stocks tumbled Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 1.8% and the S&P 500 falling 2.4%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq plunged 3.6%, marking the worst week since March 2020 for all three major indexes. Rising bond yields and inflation fears continue to weigh on investor sentiment. Big Tech stocks like Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft all saw significant losses. The 10-year Treasury yield hit 1.71%, the highest level in over a year. Oil prices also fell, with West Texas Intermediate dropping 3.2% to $61.62 a barrel. Investors await Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s testimony next week.
