European investors have poured €214 billion into global large cap blend equity ETFs, making them a favorite category. 84% of European-domiciled instruments in the Morningstar database have a positive Medalist Rating, according to Morningstar. The best global large-cap blend equity ETFs for 2024 according to Morningstar Medalist Rating include Vanguard FTSE Developed World, Xtrackers MSCI AC World ESG Screened, JPM Carbon Transition Global Equity, SPDR® MSCI ACWI IMI, UBS Global Gender Equality, JPM Global Equity Multi-Factor, and Fidelity Sustainable Research Enhanced Global Equity.

The Vanguard FTSE Developed World is the largest equity ETF for large capitalization with a Gold rating and has an annualized outperformance of 2.8 percentage points over the past nine years.

The Xtrackers MSCI AC World ESG Screened ETF focuses on sustainability criteria with a 3-star rating from Morningstar, and an average risk/return profile.

The JPM Carbon Transition Global Equity replicates an index that complies with the European Climate transition benchmark (CTB) Directive and has a decarbonisation target of 7% year-on-year.

The SPDR® MSCI ACWI IMI ETF offers exposure not only to developed markets, but also emerging markets, with over 3,000 stocks in its portfolio and a 4-star rating from Morningstar.

The UBS Global Gender Equality ETF focuses on gender diversity scores, with an annualized outperformance of 2.4 percentage points over the past three years and a 3-star rating from Morningstar.

The JPM Global Equity Multi-Factor ETF replicates an index of mid- and large-cap stocks listed on developed markets, and has a Gold rating from Morningstar.

The Fidelity Sustainable Research Enhanced Global Equity ETF invest at least 70% of its assets in securities with favorable ESG characteristics and has a Gold rating from Morningstar.

The three largest listed ETFs in Europe are iShares Core Msci World, Vanguard FTSE All-World, and Xtrackers MSCI World, all with a positive Medalist Rating and low fees. iShares Core Msci World has a Morningstar overall rating of five-star.

The Vanguard FTSE All-World has a very broad portfolio, with more than 3,700 securities listed on developed and emerging stock exchanges, and a Morningstar rating of four stars.

The Xtrackers MSCI World replicates the same index as the iShares ETF, within which the U.S. accounts for 65-70 per cent of the total, and has a Bronze rating from Morningstar.
