Investors bullish as S&P 500 gains 9.9% so far this year, standout stocks include Meta, Deckers, Netflix

From Nasdaq:

The S&P 500 has gained 9.9% year-to-date on Mar. 21. Investors are bullish as interest rates may fall soon and the U.S. economy is growing. Standout stocks include Meta Platforms, Deckers, and Netflix, with strong sales and growth driving their success.

Deckers has seen a 16% increase in sales in its 2024 third quarter, outperforming Nike. Its profit margin rose to 53%, and management raised its fiscal outlook. Meta Platforms has shown a 25% revenue increase due to cost-cutting measures, leading to a 69% jump in net income in 2023 and the initiation of a dividend.

Netflix is rebounding from a pandemic slump with accelerated subscriber growth and 260.3 million paying subscribers. The company’s advertising business and account-sharing crackdown are driving success. Wall Street anticipates further growth in subscriber base, cash flow, and operating margins, making Netflix a promising investment option.
