Airbus widens aircraft delivery lead

Boeing delivered 27 aircraft in February amidst ongoing quality control issues. Airbus widened its lead by delivering 79 planes in the first two months of 2024. Airlines like Southwest are adjusting capacity plans due to Boeing delays. United Airlines also made changes to their fleet plans regarding the 737 Max 10 model.
In February, Boeing delivered 17 Max jetliners and seven wide-body Dreamliners. Customers pay most of the aircraft price upon delivery. Despite recent struggles, Boeing received 15 gross orders, while Airbus only had two. American Airlines recently placed an order for 260 planes from Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer.
