Apple Allows EU Users To Download Apps Directly From Website

Apple Inc. (AAPL) is allowing EU iPhone users to directly download apps from developer websites, complying with the EU’s Digital Markets Act. This move, known as side-loading, requires developers to meet criteria and commit to user protection. Apps with over 1 million downloads in Europe will be allowed, with a commission fee of 0.50 euros per install after 1 million downloads. Apple made changes to comply with DMA, including reinstating Epic Games’ developer account.
