Asian stocks mixed, Japan's Nikkei falls 0.7%

Asian stocks traded mixed with Japan’s Nikkei falling 0.7% from record highs. Chinese stocks were flat amid fears of US export restrictions, but Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.3%. Most other Asian markets were muted, with Australia’s ASX up 0.6%. Indian markets were closed for a holiday. Inflation data for Japan and key Australian data are expected later this week.
