Bitcoin may lose its reputation as a volatile asset. Here’s why

From CNBC:

Bitcoin is becoming less volatile, with price swings decreasing over the past decade. Bitwise Asset Management’s Matt Hougan attributes this to a demand-supply imbalance driven by new ETFs. Since Jan. 11, bitcoin ETFs have led to a 50% increase in the asset’s value, hitting an all-time high of $74,000.

While bitcoin’s growth is promising, ProShares offers a Short Bitcoin Strategy ETF for profit from losses, down 42% this year. ProShares’ Simeon Hyman emphasizes bitcoin’s long-term strength and the role of ETFs in diversification. Long-bitcoin ETF, ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF, has seen a 55% increase since Jan. 1.

Despite skepticism, bitcoin’s market is thriving with ProShares’ ETF offerings and continued growth potential. Bitcoin’s value has surged 180% over the past year, attracting both investors and ETF options for profit or diversification.
