After more than 20 years, Jim Weber is stepping down as CEO of Brooks Running, with COO and President Dan Sheridan set to take over. Under Weber’s leadership, Brooks grew into a $1 billion-plus brand. Sheridan, who played a key role in the company’s success, aims to expand globally and build out product offerings. Last year, Brooks hit $1.2 billion in sales, with most growth coming from North America. Sheridan inherits a strong business but faces challenges in a competitive market. Succession planning began when Brooks became a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary in 2012, with Sheridan identified as Weber’s successor. Sheridan’s eagerness to learn and lead were key factors in his promotion, and he is ready to tackle the challenges ahead in the footwear market.
