Court says EU must pay a fraction of legal fees sought by Qualcomm By Reuters

From Investing.com:

Europe’s second highest court ruled that EU regulators should pay Qualcomm 785,857.54 euros for legal fees, significantly less than the 12 million euros requested by the U.S. chipmaker. The court found that Qualcomm’s claim was “manifestly excessive” and set the total fee including expenses for law firms at 754,190 euros. The case arose after Qualcomm won an appeal against a 997 million euro EU antitrust fine in 2018. The Luxembourg-based General Court said hourly rates were not adequately justified and that the amount of work done was not sufficient to substantiate the sum claimed. Qualcomm submitted its legal bill to the European Commission in 2022, but the Commission disputed the amount and argued it should only pay 405,315 euros.
