Darden Restaurants acquires Ruth’s Hospitality Group for $715 million, causing shares to drop 5% as same-store sales shrank in Q3. Net income rose to $312.9 million, with earnings per share at $2.62. Sales increased by 6.8% due to acquisitions, but most restaurants saw same-store sales decline. Outlook for fiscal 2024 adjusted earnings lowered to $8.80-$8.90.
