FBI tells Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 passengers they may be crime victims By Reuters

From Investing.com:

The FBI has informed passengers of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 that they may be victims of a crime following a mid-air emergency on Jan. 5, 2022. The investigation is ongoing, with the FBI not disclosing progress due to the nature of criminal probes. The incident involved a door plug panel tearing off, leaving a hole in the fuselage, and resulted in minor injuries to some passengers and crew members. The NTSB found that required documents detailing the removal of key bolts from the plane were never created, leading to the grounding of the MAX 9 by the FAA and other regulatory actions. Boeing has committed to cooperating with all government investigations, while Alaska Airlines is fully cooperating and does not consider itself the target of the probe.
