FDA approves Madrigal Pharmaceuticals' treatment Rezdiffra for NASH liver disease

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals received FDA approval for the first treatment for NASH with liver scarring, a common and life-threatening liver disease. Their drug, Rezdiffra, addresses fat buildup, inflammation, and scarring in the liver. Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly are also exploring treatments. The drug will be marketed as Rezdiffra and will be available in April.
