Medicare can cover weight loss drugs if used for added health benefit
From CNBC:
Medicare can now cover certain weight loss drugs with added health benefits, such as Novo Nordisk’s Wegovy. By law, Medicaid must cover Wegovy for its new cardiovascular use, and around 1 in 5 state Medicaid programs currently cover GLP-1 drugs for weight loss.
