In response to a lawsuit filed by Elon Musk, OpenAI employees received an internal message stating firm disagreement with Musk’s claims. Musk, a former co-founder, alleged that OpenAI’s original mission of open-source technology had been compromised by ties to Microsoft. OpenAI’s Chief Strategy Officer countered Musk’s assertions in a memo obtained by Bloomberg News. Musk is suing for unfair business practices and breach of contract, among other claims, related to OpenAI’s alleged financial benefits from Microsoft. OpenAI’s goal is to benefit humanity through AGI technology, as stated by the organization’s Chief Strategy Officer Jason Kwon. Kwon also informed staff of inquiries from government agencies, likely related to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s investigation into OpenAI following Altman’s removal last year. The organization is cooperating with authorities in providing information.
