OpenAI’s Sora can produce 120 minutes of videos per NVIDIA H100 per day, totaling 10.7 million minutes of AI-generated videos daily on TikTok and YouTube. Approximately 720,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs are needed at peak demand, accounting for factors like usage patterns and multiple video candidates per upload.

OpenAI plans to make Sora publicly accessible later this year, targeting visual artists and filmmakers. The AI model generates realistic video scenes from text prompts and will soon include sound and editing capabilities. Hollywood studios and filmmakers are now being pitched by OpenAI to integrate Sora into their projects, aiming to form partnerships and collaborations in the entertainment industry.
