Stock market today: Live updates

The Dow Jones underperformed this week, closing 0.1% down, led lower by UnitedHealth and Amgen. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 added 1% and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.8%. Gas prices rose to $3.33 per gallon on average, up 18 cents from a month ago. U.S. crude oil hit $80 a barrel for the first time since November amid signs of a tightening market ahead of an OPEC+ decision on production cuts. March historically weak for equities, but UBS advises keeping exposure to large-cap stocks. Goldman shakes up its Conviction List, adding Amgen and removing Apple. Fed’s Waller suggests ideas for balance sheet reduction, including run-off of all mortgage holdings and reduction in duration.
