Tech stocks saw an increase late Thursday, with XLK up 0.1% and XSD climbing 2.5%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index also added 2.5%.

Microsoft is set to pay Inflection AI $650 million and hire its staff in a licensing deal. Microsoft shares climbed 0.9% following the announcement of Mustafa Suleyman and Karen Simonyan as new executives.

Reddit shares debuted on the NYSE at $47, surpassing their IPO price of $34 per share. The shares surged by over 50% in recent trading.

Apple faced a lawsuit from the US DOJ and AGs from 15 states for antitrust violations. In Europe, Apple and Google are under investigation under the EU’s Digital Markets Act. Apple stock dropped 4.3% and Alphabet was down by 0.6%.

Micron Technology’s shares jumped over 14% as analysts raised price targets after the company reported a profit in fiscal Q2 and increased revenue from the previous year.
