1. New York City is named the No. 1 place for ultra-high-net-worth individuals to own property, with nearly 350,000 millionaires and 60 billionaires, according to the USA Wealth Report. Despite reports of the rich leaving, NYC’s millionaire population has grown by 48% in the past decade.
2. San Francisco Bay Area ranks as the second richest city in America, with over 305,000 millionaires and 68 billionaires. The area’s millionaire population has soared by 82% in the past 10 years, driven by growth in investment and artificial intelligence.
3. Austin, Texas, has seen the fastest growth in ultra-wealthy individuals among the top 10 U.S. cities, doubling its millionaire population in the last decade to nearly 33,000. Miami follows with an 87% increase in millionaires, but with significantly fewer in number compared to New York City.
4. Despite wealth migration to the Sun Belt states, New York City and the Bay Area are expected to remain America’s wealthiest cities for years to come. Andrew Amoils from New World Wealth projects these cities as enduring wealth hubs in the U.S. amid continued economic growth and prosperity.
